‘Alaskafy” your heating system and stay safe and warm for the season.

HVAC equipment is the second leading cause of home fires and carbon monoxide accidents. So, we promote this season as the best time of year to get your heating systems checked, cleaned, repaired or inspected to make sure there are no safety issues.

Getting the furnace or other heating system checked every year is crucial to making sure you and your family stay safe. One of the things Alaskan Air Conditioning and Heating does with an “Alaskafication” of the heating system is that we do a comprehensive safety inspection to make sure everything is working properly.

That burning smell you usually get when you turn on your heater for the first time is somewhat normal. It should minimize, though, after the first couple of times you turn it on. If it still seems a bit “smellier” than you remember, do schedule one of our technicians to come and check it out for the safety of you and your family.

You will also want to make sure you have working carbon monoxide and fire detectors. Another thing homeowners can also do to prevent heating systems issues is keep the filters clean. Change them regularly to prevent potential for accidents and flow cleaner air into your living spaces.

To schedule your Alaskification of the heating system, call us in Tucson:  (520) 815-5555.

Phoenix:  (602) 529-5555.
