This technician provided me with the concept of a device known as start-assist which is a capacitor kit that can be installed to enhance the process of turning on an AC compressor. I'm grateful for that--even though it is a forty-dollar device that I could probably have learned to install on my own instead of the 365 dollars I paid for the technician to install it. Moreover, he was the only technician who did not bother to wear booties to protect my floor. He was arrogant and thought of himself as the best HVAC technician in the world. All the technicians I've encountered take great pride in their skills and talents. But this technician took that into another level. I will not be calling Alaskan for any future maintenance work.

Came to home there is a overcast today and weather is not as hot. Checked stats and even though the stats are connected to WiFi stats are indicating that they are not connected to server. Wife sets up all online stuff and is not here. Customer will try to connect to the server and get updates then see if unit continue to trip out on codes. Units both cooling at this time.

Unit not cooling. Found shorted low voltage wire inside condenser that shorted whole system. Fixed wiring replaced 5 amp fuse. Also found bad 45 cap. Fix low voltage wire. Unit cooling.

Post inspection on 2 xp20 split heat pump systems. Both units very low on refrigerant. Shradder caps loose.. added refrigerant to both units tightened caps and showed customer how to use stat. Customer will be connecting stats to Lennox server today. Showed video and told customer that this is needed for updates and keeping track of the system.
